PINK AND PURPLE SUZANI

Uzbek suzani from the Bukhara region. Flowers embroidered on cotton. Can be used as a wall hanging, table runner or turned into a cushion.

Sourced in Pakistan, which is on the old Silk Road, the historic trade route that linked Europe with Asia. With close links to Afghanistan and Central Asia it is not surprising that many textiles from across the region end up in Islamabad in particular.
